If you are searching for someone to refinish your deck, your search is over. Paul, Romy and the entire crew exceeded our expectations from first contact to finish. The estimate was very fair. The crew did an amazing job of prepping the deck taking it down to bare wood. The color is beautiful and even throughout. We have massive rails and caps, a set of stairs and street facing fascia on two sides and everything was power washed and sanded. The whole job was done in two and a half days. And really important to us based on bad outcomes of previous jobs was how careful the crew was to protect my many many plantings and keep stain off the path and driveway. I cannot say enough positive comments about Marin Wood Restoration and Painting Co.! This is a company with skill, integrity, and is extremely easy to work with. I had a challenging job because the redwood deck and the long stairway that goes around my house and down a steep hill – had been power washed 5 or so years ago by someone who had left grooves throughout the wood and made the deck somewhat unsightly. Paul, the owner, assured me that his company could repair and restore the wood to my satisfaction. Especially, commendable is Paul’s job foreman, Romy, who is very knowledgeable and highly skilled (as is everyone on the crew.) Romy and the crew power washed the entire deck, rails, and, stairway, re-set of the screws throughout the deck and stairway, sanded the wood to a smooth finish, and stained the wood with a beautiful redwood stain of their own special formula of TWP. In addition, they power washed the undersides of my upper decks – using ladders to reach up 40-50 ft off the ground. They did an excellent job at every step of the way. By the way, Paul was out of town, on vacation, during the first part of the job. Nonetheless, he personally maintained contact with me on a daily basis to ensure that the job was going exactly the way I wanted it to. In addition to restoring the redwood throughout my house, Paul’s company painted the entire back of my house – mostly on ladders, as it extended upwards of 40+ feet.
I couldn’t be more happy with this company and I highly recommend it to anyone with either a need for wood restoration of any kind and/or painting!

Paul Burrous and his skilled and friendly crew did a fine restoration of the siding shingles and other exterior wood trim and structures on our lovely Arts & Crafts home. They power-washed it all, cleaned stains everywhere that was needed, smoothed the whiskery fibers from the shingles, replaced damaged shingles, gave good color advice, and applied pigment-loaded penetrating restorative. They took excruciating care to protect all adjacent surfaces, e.g., painted window frames and eaves, gutters, concrete patio and porch floors, and so forth, from splatter, overspray, brush accident or careless hand placement. They did the work in a timely way and at a very fair price. I’d use them again in a heartbeat.
